The international innovation competition serves as accelerating instrument for space‐related entrepreneurs and startups, providing Europe with path‐breaking novelties. Since its initiation in 2004, the Galileo Masters has always been scouting the most forward‐thinking applications based on satellite navigation and remains to set benchmark levels of space‐related innovations for Europe.
The spectrum of submitted business solutions reflects the manifold opportunities made possible by this future‐oriented technology: From healthcare and leisure to traffic management and other rail, sea, and air transport logistics, individuals and entire industries alike can benefit from satellite navigation.
No matter what stage a pioneering solution is at, the Galileo Masters provides support for innovations at any development stage, with the ultimate aim to turn them into real business cases. Thus, the diversity offered by the Galileo Masters and its entire network are best described as “service all along the value chain”. Thereby, the Galileo Masters is not only the prestigious competition for GNSS‐related solutions but also serves as Europe‐wide and effective support mechanism for entrepreneurs and startups thanks to a highly diversified prize pool offered by many involved Galileo Masters stakeholders.
There are one class and two categories in the competition:
Select the class that reflects your solution best. The selection of one of this options is mandatory for all participants. At the same time you are able to become the Startup or Idea of the Year and win the corresponding prizes.
Submit your solution to one of the Special Prizes offered by leading European stakeholders. Special Prizes are partnered by institutional and research partners who are searching for innovations tailored to their specific needs in various satellite navigation related fields. This format is also intended to encourage joint realisation of the winning idea by the winner and the partner.
Choose the Regional Challenge that would best support your business case from various partner regions worldwide. No matter where you are located, we have the perfect match for you. Regional partner organisations include national space agencies, ministries, space clusters, universities, and incubators.
