Secure financial transactions, Web 2.0 for parcel service providers, a smartphone as an all-knowing tourist guide – The European Satellite Navigation Competition 2007 demonstrates, for the fourth time, the application diversification for satellite navigation.
In the residency of Munich the winners and finalists of the prestigious ideas competition were premiered overnight. Eleven European high-tech regions participated in the competition in the meantime and with more than 250 registered idea participants this year, a new all-time participant high was achieved. Innovative solutions for the most diverse of industries were awarded this time around: health and finance, automotive, telecommunications, traffic man-agement, environment protection, tourism, and logistics and transportation.
